“I look at cases with a wide angle, weighing risks and options, assessing all possible results, and, most importantly, thinking like my clients, all to maximize the probability of a positive, efficient outcome.”
Mr. Young’s practice is focused on representing businesses in a wide variety of complex commercial matters, including litigation, transactional, banking and corporate matters. His litigation practice largely involves representing banks and other lenders in disputes involving loans, including in foreclosure and collection matters, as well as those involving payment disputes and UCC matters. Mr. Young also represents clients involving commercial, corporate, and real estate related disputes. His transactional practice primarily involves representing lenders in commercial lending transactions, including mortgage secured, asset based lending, lines of credit, and construction loans. He also represents clients in the purchase and sale of real estate and leasing activities. Additionally, Mr. Young represents and counsels several banks as outside general counsel on a variety of matters, including regulatory compliance, deposit operations, loan operations, policy and procedure issues, vendor contracts, customer agreements, treasury management, and customer disputes.
“Beyond my years as general counsel for very large companies, I’ve been a business owner/CEO and client myself. I know how I wanted to be treated. I know that “wins” can come in different shapes and sizes. And I know that my multi-level perspective affords my clients experience-based insights that make the entire process more productive.”
Mr. Young’s greatest professional accomplishments are graduating valedictorian from law school, holding a full-time job as a stock broker and becoming a first-time parent—all at the same time, and co-founding the world’s first online commercial mortgage origination platform.
